It is expected that students registered for 6185 and 8185 will do an additional project, to scope of which is agreed-upon by the instructor. Sensors/actuators or concepts that the student groups will investigate include:
- Communications via optical fiber
- Stress gauges
- Accelerometers
- RFID
- Operating Systems
- Sonar sensors
- Compass
- Stepper motors
- Nitinol actuators
- Other microprocessors
Students have already worked on the design of the project in the first semester (Embedded Systems, Fall 2007). If you did not take the Embedded Systems class in Fall 2007, see Dr. Conrad. More detail will be posted soon. |
