  • The exam is Thursday, December 15, 2pm to 4:30 pm.  No papers, notes, books, cell phones, computers or tablets!  EXCEPT:  You can have two sheets of paper for reference, 8.5 by 11 inches.
 

Week of Monday, November 28, 2016
  • Quiz 21 is writing test questions.  Instructions are in Canvas.  Due Wednesday, December 7, noon.

  • Grad Lab 1 is posted, and is due Friday, December 9.
 

Week of Monday, November 14, 2016
  • Lab Assignment 7 is due Friday, December 2, 2016 at 5:00 pm.  It is using the Renesas RX63N.
  • Homework Assignment 5 is due Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 3:30 pm (in class).
  • Homework Assignment 6 is due Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 3:30 pm (in class).
  • There are no live courses for Thursday, November 17 and Thursday, December 1.  I have posted videos that you should view for those days.  You will need to watch the videos to answer homework questions.  You can view the videos now, and work on the homework now as well!

  • Welcome to ECE 4101/5101!  The class starts Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
  • Homework Assignment 1 is due Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the start of class.
  • Lab Assignment 1 is Due Friday, September 2, 2016 at 5:00 pm.  It is using the MSP430 Board (not Renesas RX63N).
  • Please take the time to read the class syllabus.
  • The lab assignments will use the Renesas RX63N Evaluation Board.  Each student can purchase one if they wish.  Visit www.renesas.com, Digikey, Avnet, or Future Electronics on-line sites to purchase one (about $100 to $118).
  • This course may use videos of lectures recorded during the Fall 2012 and Fall 2015 semesters. The professor uses transparencies and the document camera to teach this class.
  • The course book is Embedded Systems: An Introduction using the Renesas RX63N Microcontroller by James M. Conrad, Micrium Press, 2013.  A FREE copy (pdf) is in the class website (notes page) and Moodle site.  You can NOT buy a hardcopy yet since it has not been printed. 
  • The lectures are on YouTube in high-definition, so make sure to choose the better resolution option (and perhaps make it full screen) for the best viewing experience.
