Week of Monday, December 3, 2007
  • Solution to Lab 6 is available.  Note:  Only 3 groups actually used three timers and no software counters in the solution - they received full marks.
  • Students have reported a communications problem between a PC and the board via USB.  Please refer to pp. 20 of the User's Manual, Version 2.1, for instructions on how to fix this problem.
  • Dr. Conrad will not have office hours on December 5.
  • Dr. Conrad will have office hours the morning of 12/10, from 8:30 am to 11 am  (with a possible 1/2 hour break for a student presentation).
  • The final exam will cover: notes 1-14, 16-18, 1st 1/2 of 21; all assignments.  You may bring notes, books, calculators into the exam.  You may not use a PC or cell phone.

  • Homework 11 is available and due Monday, December 3.There was a problem with a previous announcement (cut and paste error). THIS IS AN INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT - NOT A LAB GROUP ASSIGNMENT. 
  • Lab 7 is available and due Wednesday, December 5.
  • Wednesday, Dec 5 is a lab day - no class.

  • Extra Credit opportunity - Engineering open house, Friday 11/9.  Just work on your lab in Woodward 203 between 12:45 and 3:00.  Sign up with Dr. C (preference to undergrad students).

  • Lab 1 is available and due Wednesday September 26..  You can demonstrate your lab on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
  • So that you may attend the October 3rd job fair at NCSU, I will postpone the midterm exam to October 10th.
  • TA Praneeth Bajjuri's office hours are now 11am to 1 pm Monday and Wednesday.

  • Welcome to ECE 4101/5101!  The first day of class is Monday, August 20, 2007.
  • This class will be based heavily on the web pages.  For example:
  • Homework 1 is available, and due Monday, August 27.  It's simple - just based on the syllabus, class discussions, and one reading.
  • The lab assignments will use the Renesas QSK62P Evaluation Board.  Each student be required to purchase one.  Visit www.digikey.com or other on-line sites to purchase on (about $70).
