Tao Han, Ph.D.
Dr. Han received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) under Dr. Nirwan Ansari in 2015. He received his B.E. in Electrical Engineering and M.E. in Computer Engineering from Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) in 2006 and 2009, respectively. He joined UNC-Charlotte as an Assistant Professor in August 2015. His research interest includes big-data-driven networking, mobile edge networking, tactile Internet, green communications, and Internet of Things.
Mr. Liu received his M.Eng in Electrical Engineering from The University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2016. He started his doctoral study in Dr. Tao Han's group at UNC-Charlotte in 2016 Fall. His research topics are mobile edge computing, mobile augmented reality, software-defined mobile networks and energy-efficient Cloud-RAN.
Mr. Deng received his M.Eng in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 2016. He started his doctoral study under in Dr. Tao Han's group at UNC-Charlotte in 2016 Fall. His research topics are software-defined networks and edge vision analytics.
Mr. Opadere received M.Eng degree in Instrumentation from St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, Russia. He is currently working toward PhD degree in Dr. Tao Han's group at UNC Charlotte. His research areas are energy efficiency in ultra-dense cellular networks, and Inter-operator cooperation for spectrum and load sharing.
Mr. Guan received his M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He started his doctoral study in Dr. Tao Han's group at UNC-Charlotte in 2018 Summer. His research topics are networked unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and augmented/virtual reality.
Xueyu (Sharon) Hou
Ms. Hou received her M.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. She started her doctoral study in Dr. Tao Han's group at UNC-Charlotte in 2018 Fall. Her research topics are real-time video analytics and deep learning for wireless Internet of Things (IoT).
Mr. Vu is pursuing his master degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering at UNC-Charlotte. He works with Dr. Han on communication network design for smart grid and cyber security.
Mr. Moges is an undergraduate student in Computer and Electrical Engineering at UNC-Charlotte. He works with Dr. Han on cyber security issues in smart grid. He is recently accepted as an early entry Ph.D. student under Dr. Han's supervision.
