My grandmother Wiktoria Mastyj (in black dress) with family in Gorajowice

Wiktoria was born in 1877 as the daughter of Wawrzyniec Mastyj and Jozefa
Gorczany. She was raised in Sieklowka and next she moved to Jaslo where she
met Tadeusz Sroczynski who hired her in 1901 to work as a staff member
in his Gorajowice Palace.

Apolonia Mastyj (1882-1952), also raised in Sieklowka, was a close cousin of
Wiktoria Mastyj. She was a daughter of Agata (1855-1890) and Antoni Mastyj
(1849-1892). Apolonia emigrated to Detroit where she met John Buszek and
married him in 1901. After having two children, she and John went to Poland
for a visit. Apolonia was pregnant. She had her third child (a boy) delivered
in her deceased parents home in Sieklowka (my father was raised there by
his mother's & Apolonia's families till he graduated from elementary school).
After graduation he moved to Gorajowice to join the three-year lower
gymnasium in Jaslo. He was living in the Palace with his mother
from 1916 till 1930.

Antoni Mastyj was a brother of Wawrzyniec Mastyj (my great grandfather).
Ewa Furmanek Mastyj (born in 1813) was their mother
and Krysia's great great grandmother. She had five more children.
