About me
I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Laboratory (KDD) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte (UNC Charlotte), advised by Prof. Zbigniew W. Ras. I finished Masters of Science (M.S.) in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah , advised by Prof. Fadi Aloul & Prof. Assim Sagahyroon. Before that, I finished Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology.

Research Interests
Broadly, my research interests are in the field of data science, with an emphasis on healthcare analytics. In my dissertation, I worked on a collaboration project between SAS Institute and the University of North Carolina, Charlotte (UNC Charlotte), and targeted the problem of reducing the number of hospital readmissions. My long-term goals are to work on healthcare analytics and diversify my data science research to include other fields, such as connected vehicle, social network, and cyber security.
