Research

I am a Ph.D. student of Computer Science at UNC Charlotte and a member of the Data Visualization Group(DVG) at the Charlotte Visualization Center. My Research focuses on integrating visualization with knowledge structures, and visualizing geo-spatial temporal patterns. Currently, my primary research involves augmenting visualization with knowledge sources, like integration with ontology, integration with AI system.

My previous work includes visual analytics of the Global Terrorism Database (collaboration with START center); also with Danyel Fisher (Microsoft Research), we were working on visualizing heterogeneous information to centralize and analyze network operations. In addition, at my first year, I was working on 3D volumetric visualization for EPA to analyze development of air pollution.
