DREU Experience
(Summer 2009)
This site is
made to document my experiences as part of
the DREU Program. I have been assigned to work under Dr. Shehu in her
research lab at George Mason University in
Fairfax, VA. I will be using this site as a journal about what I am
doing in my research as well as in my free time during Summer 2009.
This
is a 10 week program where I will be learning and gaining experience in
the field of Bioinformatics. This field focuses on applying Information
Technology to Molecular Biology. I will be using the skills and
knowledge that I already have and combine them with new skills and the
new things that I will learn so that I can begin research about a given
topic in the Bioinformatics field.
