Research

Dr. Xie's research is in the general areas of wireless networks and mobile computing. Her current research is focused on the design of communication protocols and algorithms for network management in heterogeneous wireless systems, in particular, mobility management, resource management, and Quality-of-Service (QoS) management in next-generation wireless systems, cognitive radio networks, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud/fog/edge computing, and mobile augmented reality (AR) / mixed reality (MR) / virtual reality (VR) systems. Her recent research interests are mainly in the sustainability of artificial intelligence (AI) in edge computing and communications.
