Communicating between a Linux/ARM-based board and the Renesas Board
Assignment (pdf file) is available soon (however, version 0.1 was sent in an email).
No solution will be provided.
Warning: Please do not link the 'linuxrc-sdroot' file to the 'linuxrc' file as given in the manual. Just run "./linuxrc-sdroot" or "sh linuxrc-sdroot" after you boot into fastboot Linux.
Also power the board at 5 volts, do not exceed this voltage limit. Please make sure the polarity on the power connector is correct before plugging in the board.
Lab 7, Due Various Dates, BEGINNING OF CLASS!!!!
Xillinx Board and Embedded Systems
Assignment 7.1 (TUTORIAL) is due 3/25.
Perform the tutorial at
NOTE: when it comes to configuring your boards you will need to follow the procedures from the second link on the tutorials page.
You will use schematic capture to design the circuit, synthesize the circuit, and download the functionality to the FPGA board.
Once you have completed the exercise, show the TA your work. Show the TA your schematic. ________ Show the TA your simulation. ________ Show the TA your working FPGA board showing the working circuit ________ Turn in to the TA a printout of your schematic and simulation.
Assignment 7.2 is due 4/13. Implement the washing machine finite state machine using VHDL and the Xilinx board. See the 3/30 notes for more detail.
Lab 6, Due 3/25, 4/1, or 4/8/09, 4/15/09 BEGINNING OF CLASS!!!! (one week after you get the board)
Cypress System on a Chip board (note - 3 people per week will work on this).
Each person is to:
Identify how to load the programming tools on a PC and use the tools to download an executable to the board, write this up
Identify some of the features of this board
Develop, compile, and run a program to demonstrate the features of the board.
Each demo MUST BE UNIQUE (you cannot copy what someone else has done)
