Nintendo is a japanese company and represents Eastern Culture. Xbox is owned by Microsoft a western country and reflects those values.
Nintendo systems are more about the group and allowing for multiplayer. At least until this point 02 August, 2017 Nintendo has yet to charge for online play. This symbolizes the idea that coming together and playing for the group is more important like it would be in eastern culture. They also produce more family friendly games to allow the family to come together as one. Xbox since the beginning has charged for online multiplayer and they produce less party games. The multiplayer games that they produce are more about competition than they are playing in a group. This shows that they focus more on the indivuals gameplay like they would in a western culture.
We would say that it is easier for a person from a western culture to accept the ideas of an eastern culture. This can be seen through the systems. The Xbox really only maintains high sales within the U.S while Nintedo is popular around the world.
