Physical Development

Classify, based upon the Denver Norms, www.cdc.gov/growthcharts/  the child's physical development as above, at, or below the mean.  You must determine the child's age, height and weight in order to do this. Report your findings in terms of percentile ranks.  Be certain not to embarrass anyone as this is being completed.  Estimate if necessary.  The purpose for this activity is for you to familiarize yourself with norms of development as opposed to determine a child's exact height or weight.

Information you may wish to consider under physical develop include but are not limited to:  gender, race, height, weight, any physical disability, handedness, dexterity in both gross and fine motor development.  Our interest is in the child's physical development and performance, not on the quality of the physical activities the child receives.
