Unzip H.E.L.P. to “C:\GIS”.
The following folders will be created when the file is unzipped and must exist in order for the H.E.L.P. tool to function properly:
C:\GIS
C:\GIS\BuffaloData
C:\GIS\temp
C:\GIS\files
C:\GIS\PicturesForHelpButton
All newly created layers will be saved in C:\GIS and C:\GIS\temp.
 

Software Requirements:

1. ArcGIS - ArcInfo version 9.2 or higher:
Spatial Analyst, Coverage Tool (toolbox)
2. Matlab version 6.5 or higher.
Statistical Toolbox
 

Data Requirements:

1. Point shapefile containing (zipped file contains Buffalo 911 calls)
field to be analyzed such as diseases or 911 calls
time field consisting of integers representing days Since January 1st of current year example: 1 represents January 1, 15 represents January 15
2. Polygon shapefile containing a single polygon surrounding the point shapefile (zipped file comes with Buffalo boundary)
