Biographical Synopsis

My family and I came to North Carolina from Phoenix, Arizona in 2003 to return to school after a 15 year hiatus. Between 1988 and 2003 I spent considerable time as a technical trainer and writer for several software companies in Utah and Arizona. After completing a degree in English at Appalachian State University I entered graduate school at UNC Charlotte, where I am currently a PhD student in the Computer Science department, working in the Future Computing Lab under the direction of Dr. Dale-Marie Wilson.

My wife, Christie, and I have been married eighteen years and have three children: Kamisha (16), Courtney (13), and Brady (7).

Hobbies and Interests

I spend most of my spare time with my family. We love outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming and rock climbing. I also enjoy carpentry and I continue to write fiction. In addition to a growing library of short stories and poetry I am currently working on a series of young adult fantasy/adventure novels.
