A car has a ton of social value. You're economic class can almost be determined by what kind of car you have and how many cars you have. Some people will determine whether or not to date another on if they have a car or not. Cars are gendered. Some cars are certainly considered more feminine. Like a mini cooper or punch buggy. While a Hummer might be considered more masculine. A car is a part of the American Dream. A car is a product of every person being their own individual, and being able to go where they want to. It is part of our fast paced world, and allows people to reward themselves immediatly. Cars can be found in every western culture, and are found in almost every 1st 2nd or 3rd world country to varying degrees
