Preparation Course for Special Education Praxis II Exams (Optional)

Course Overview

The UNC Charlotte preparation course offers self-paced instruction covering the two Praxis exams required by North Carolina for initial teacher licensure in special education. Test 542 examines special education content in the areas of assessment, curriculum, and managing the classroom environment. Test 511 assesses general knowledge in the areas of math, science, social studies, and language arts.  The course offers an in-depth look at the content of each test, samples of test questions, resources for further study, and mock tests. 

Course requirements include a self-paced study program with periodic tests which simulate the Praxis exams. 

Co-requisite:  Students must be currently enrolled in one of the UNC Charlotte licensure courses in order to take the preparation course.
