Expression to
Learners with Special Needs
Course Overview
This graduate course
will provide instruction in components of written expression which include
phonetics, spelling, sentence structure, paragraph structure, purpose of
writing, writing strategies, and handwriting. In addition to weekly course
activities, students will complete an intensive field experience where they will
tutor young students in writing strategies (planning, teaching, and evaluating
the strategy outcomes). This course incorporates Blackboard and Centra to
deliver instruction. Program prerequisites must be completed before enrolling in
this course.
